Foxtail Learning Policies
Face-to-Face Tutoring Sessions:
Face-to-face tutoring sessions will typically take place in a public location or a student’s home. Tutoring sessions in a student’s home must take place in a public area of the house and the parent must be in the home. Tutors may not work with a student behind closed doors.
Online Tutoring Sessions:
Online tutoring sessions will take place over Google Meet. The parent will receive an invite with a Google Meet link that will be used during the session.

Tutor/Parent Communication:
The parent’s and tutor's phone numbers will be shared with each other to allow for communication as needed. Students and tutors may not communicate directly by phone.
Tutor/Parent Check-In:
Tutors will check in quickly with the parent at the end of each tutoring session to let the parent know how the student did during the session and to ask if the parent has any questions or requests for future sessions.

Payment:
Payment for tutoring sessions is due two days before the scheduled tutoring sessions begin. If scheduling a block of 10 sessions, payment for all sessions is due two days prior to the first tutoring session. Foxtail Learning will notify you prior to the end of your scheduled sessions to schedule additional sessions and request additional payment. Payment options include Zelle, CashApp, or credit card. Autopay is available by request.

Cancellation by a Parent:
Tutoring sessions may be rescheduled if 24-hour notice is provided by calling or texting Foxtail Learning at (813) 553-1601. No refund is provided for tutoring sessions that are canceled by the parent with less than 24-hour notice. If a tutoring session must be canceled with less than 24-hours notice due to illness or a family emergency, Foxtail Learning may reschedule the session.

Consistently missing scheduled sessions may result in removal from the tutoring schedule. Removed slots due to excessive absences will be offered to students on our waiting list. This ensures that available tutoring slots are efficiently utilized to benefit as many students as possible.
Cancellation by a Tutor:
Tutors will provide 24-hour notice for cancellations except in cases of illness or emergency. All cancellations by a tutor will be rescheduled. A substitute tutor may be provided if available. If a tutor does not cancel and misses a tutoring session, the session will be refunded or rescheduled, depending on the parent's preference.
Late Arrival/Pick up:
If running late, the parent should notify the tutor directly. Time lost due to the late arrival of a student cannot be made up. If a student is 10 minutes late to a session and the tutor has not been contacted, the session will be canceled and cannot be made up. If a tutor arrives late for a tutoring session, the tutor will make up the time at the end of the session or schedule a time with the parent to make up any lost minutes. Parents who are late picking up their child from tutoring will be charged $2 per minute.

Concerns Regarding a Tutor:
All concerns related to a tutor should be reported to Foxtail Learning by emailing info@foxtaillearning.com or calling (813) 553-1601.

Non-Solicitation Agreement:
Tutors may not work with assigned students in any manner outside of the Foxtail Learning contract while under contract with Foxtail Learning or within one year of termination of employment.
